Q Acoustics 3050i floorstanding loudspeaker
The Q 3050i is equipped with a range of unique technologies, including HPE and P2P, that deliver truly exceptional sound.
HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) technology, developed to convert pressure to velocity and reduce the overall pressure gradient in the speaker enclosure, is used in the Q 3050i to reduce body resonance. This technology is ideal for taller speakers that tend to resonate with one favorite frequency. The Q Acoustics P2P in the 3000i series handles parts of the enclosure that need to be braced, making the enclosures extremely stable, improving stereo image sharpness and giving the soundstage greater accuracy.
Revised enclosure dimensions
The 3050i retains the same acoustically optimal front profile, but has been slightly narrowed and deepened by 25% compared to previous models. The increased internal volume has enabled Q Acoustics to achieve a lower lower cutoff frequency and thus deeper bass and an impressively large sound range. An added benefit is that the enlarged front-to-back dimension means that distortion reflected from the back wall of the case is reduced.
New terminals
Conventional cutouts in the panel for terminals have been removed, greatly improving the structural integrity of the enclosures, and new, low-profile plugs have been integrated into sockets deep enough to accept 4 mm (0.16 in) bananas. The speaker can be placed very close to the back wall, even when bananas are used instead of bare wires.
